Look Where We Have Been

Kenzie’s CLOSET has been around the town! In September, we were at the Volunteer Expo presented by The Standard on a rainy day downtown on Fountain Square, but that didn’t stop us from looking for adult volunteers and spreading the word about our mission! One of our volunteers, Yolanda, stopped by to support us.

In October, we ventured to Mt. Notre Dame High School for their High School Volunteer Signup Day. We collected 320 names for possible volunteers!!

We also have 3 Seniors who united to support Kenzie’s CLOSET as their Capstone Project. These young ladies will hold a dress drive November 4-15th at MND and volunteer a combined 60 hours to our organization!!

Kathy and Lauren headed north to Mason to promoteKenzie’s CLOSET at St. Susanna’s Service Fair for 8th graders. Our table was so popular (the only table giving away candy) that we almost ran out of brochures and business cards. Lauren was creative in using the candy in exchange for a promise that each student would tell one adult female about our volunteer opportunities!

We Had Visitors

In August, we had Troop 8582 from Madeira, Ohio visit us.They learned we are more than dressing a young lady for Prom but provide confidence and forever memories!

Seton High School came for our first UGive Volunteer Day. Thanks ladies for helping us sort and organize our “goody bags” for Prom Season.

Thank You For Supporting Kenzie's Closet

kenzie's closet, kenzies closet, newsletter, e-newsletter We are so grateful for our supporters BIG and SMALL! If you or your child feels that one has enough "stuff" in their life, why not think of our charity? Whether it’s your Birthday, Graduation or a Wedding we love that you think of us. That is what 12 year old Clare P. and Kathleen and Emily just did. Plus, we received monetary donations from invitees from a wedding couple in lieu of gifts. We feel honored to receive over $3500 in donations from these three celebrations!!

And Just In

We are giving a gracious thank you to The Evelo/Singer/Sullivan Group for honoring Kenzie’s CLOSET on October 9, 2013 with their Annual Charity Golf Outing. The invited guests loved the food, the perfect weather, and the camaraderie to benefit our favorite charity! A check for $10,000 was presented that evening. Joe and Michele Evelo then pledged to match up to $5,000. The guests have accepted the challenge and are making additional donations. Thank you all for your support of our mission!
