Kenzie's CLOSET makes high school prom dresses and related accessories available to students who can't afford them so that no young woman in Cincinnati will have to
miss her prom because of family financial limitations.

About Us

Kenzie's CLOSET first opened its doors in time for the 2006 prom season. Many high school girls in Greater Cincinnati dream of going to their prom, but financial limitations keep that dream from coming true.

Many girls have found a fairy godmother in Kenzie's CLOSET and can attend their proms thanks to the donations of the people and businesses of Greater Cincinnati. The nonprofit organization accepts donations of gently worn prom dresses and accessories.

Economically disadvantaged girls from select schools who are referred to Kenzie's CLOSET by a principal, counselor or social service agency can schedule an appointment to "shop" for the dress of their dreams at the Kenzie's CLOSET boutique — all free of charge.

Kenzie's CLOSET was founded after St. Ursula Academy senior Makena "Kenzie" Comisar was killed in a single-car accident before she could attend her prom. Kenzie was known for her big heart and generosity. Kenzie's CLOSET was opened in her honor.

Kenzie's CLOSET is located at 2010 Madison Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45208, in O'Bryonville.
